Metadata and full-text XML harvesting.

Interested parties aiming to access the metadata and full-text XML files of the articles published in USEFUL online journal and the DSpace at USEFUL.academy are invited to use our OAI-PMH interface.

The OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) is a low-barrier mechanism for repository interoperability used to harvest (or collect) the metadata descriptions and in our case also the full-text articles.

The web portal USEFUL.academy fully supports the OAI Metadata Harvesting Protocol 2.0. Metadata for all published articles is available in the Dublin Core format (oai-dc).

Examples of OAI-PMH requests.

To retrieve information about the repository: http://dspace.useful.academy/oai/request?verb=Identify

To retrieve the set structure: http://dspace.useful.academy/oai/request?verb=ListSets

To retrieve the available metadata and full-text formats: http://dspace.useful.academy/oai/request?verb=ListMetadataFormats

To retrieve records: http://dspace.useful.academy/oai/request?verb=ListRecords&metadataPrefix=oai_dc

To retrieve an individual metadata record (e.g. 20.500.12334/8) for oai-dc: http://dspace.useful.academy/oai/request?verb=GetRecord&metadataPrefix=oai_dc&identifier=oai:dspace.useful.academy:20.500.12334/8
